We just received notification that the Maine Department of Education has approved RSU 9’s request to waive the student instructional day that was canceled due to our water concerns on Friday, May 6. Our school calendar will remain as it is, and our last day of school will continue to be Friday, June 17, which is a K-12 district-wide early release day.

March 26th was scheduled to be an early release day and will now be a full-day teacher workshop to allow for discussion and planning related to our current educational model. Mt. Blue Regional School District’s school nutrition program will begin weekday delivery of healthy meals to at home learners Monday, February 1. All at home learners (full-time remote or hybrid) are eligible for the no cost meal delivery program. Franklin County was recently designated as Yellow by the Maine Department of Education. This does not affect our learning model as we are currently in a hybrid model. However, there will be no after school programs and/or activities in RSU 9 until further notice.

Meal Packs to go Home with RSU 9 students
Shelf stable meal packs will be going home with RSU 9 students in the next two weeks. The breakfast and lunch meals are intended to be consumed if the district calls a remote school day for an unexpected reason and do not require refrigeration. Due to the weather forecast for this afternoon and evening (Oct. 2, 2020), we are cancelling all after school intramural practices and postponing the Friday Night Lights event until tomorrow night (Saturday, Oct. 3). The event will be from 6 - 8 PM. Read more
