Resources

  • Food Pantry - located at the Farmington Community Center - More information can be found on the RSU 9 Community Food Pantry Facebook page
    • The RSU 9 Community Food Pantry has 2 programs for RSU 9 families:
Monthly distribution: Get FREE groceries for your family! The pantry provides a brown bag of shelf stable foods, and often refrigerated food (cheese), freezer food (frozen meat), and 600 pounds of fresh produce (** all subject to Good Shepherd availability). Their next monthly food distribution is Wednesday, 11/19 from 3 – 5:30. If you are going to be after 4 pm, they suggest that you request for them to set aside a bag for your family. All you have to do for them to set aside a bag for you is to Facebook message them with your name, phone number, and an estimated time of arrival. They often run out quickly, and this will ensure that your family DOES get food, even if you are getting there closer to closing at 5:30 pm.
Weekend food EVERY weekend: Families who may not always have access to reliable weekend food can also utilize the Anita's Hope Backpack (weekend food) program. Through this program your child receives weekend food every Friday in their backpack. To sign up for this FREE program or to learn more, simply reach out to your school nurse!
